Monthly. What changed in the canon, what the instruments now say, and what we corrected. Deliberately not a news roundup, because there are enough of those and they are better at it.
Not publishing yet
The Brief is a monthly note built from what actually changed here rather than from the week's headlines. If nothing substantive changed in a given month, it says that and stays short. A newsletter that must fill a fixed length every issue ends up padding, and padding is how a maintained reference turns back into a feed.
Before it ships
- It reports on this publication, not on the industry. What we revised, what we corrected, and where an instrument moved.
- Length follows the month. A quiet month gets a short brief.
- No sponsorship and no advertising, on the same basis as everything else here.
- Signup opens once there is a month of changes worth reporting, which means after the canon has been through a full revision cycle in public.
